Commercial EICR cost and quote scope
Vendor Atlas uses published provider tariff formulas to frame a planning range. Hexo lists a weekday London and South East rate for up to ten circuits plus each additional circuit. District Group Services published a per-main-switch and per-circuit schedule for 2024/25. Neither is a current national market median.
Check my situationCount boards and circuits first
The number of distribution boards, final circuits, separate sites and planned interruptions changes inspection effort. The displayed two-tariff comparison is a budget prompt only; unusual plant, difficult access and large installations require a scoped quote.
- Count boards or main switches and approximate final circuits per site.
- Identify three-phase plant, critical loads and permitted isolation windows.
- State whether VAT, travel, parking, remedials and a return visit are excluded.
What to do next: Give each provider the same board, circuit and access schedule. Request written confirmation of testing extent, report delivery, limitations and the price for any extra circuits or return attendance.
Lower and upper formulas
The calculator evaluates two published tariffs against the entered counts, then displays the smaller and larger result. It does not invent a market average. The source tariff may not apply to your region or installation.
Published price anchors
Hexo lists £169 plus VAT for up to ten circuits on a weekday and £10 plus VAT per extra circuit in London and the South East. District Group Services listed £50 plus VAT per main switch and £19 plus VAT per circuit in its 2024/25 schedule. Both require confirmation before buying.
Quote boundaries
Complex three-phase distribution, shutdown planning, inaccessible areas, larger sites and remedial work can change the fee. Ask for the EICR itself, circuit schedules and coded observations to be included in the inspection price.
Published prices are boundaries, not a market average
Vendor Atlas uses these provider sources only to constrain the deterministic planning model. Dates, regions, inclusions and equipment differ, so the result is not a market benchmark or a live quotation.
- Hexo Electrical Testing : London and South East weekday tariff: £169 + VAT for up to ten circuits, then £10 + VAT per additional circuit. Larger premises require a bespoke quote.
- District Group Services : Its 2024/25 commercial schedule lists £50 + VAT per main switch and £19 + VAT per circuit. Historical provider tariff, not a current national quote.
- Dale Montague Electrical : Publishes a £168 minimum, £60 per board and £18 per circuit, excluding VAT. Confirm the date and local applicability.
What is still missing: awarded quote data normalised to the same asset schedule, access conditions and deliverables. The calculator shows every adjustment so it can be replaced cleanly as that evidence arrives.
