Fire Plus / RCR Services publishes a £15 standard attendance fee and £7.50 for an annual basic service per extinguisher, excluding VAT. Vendor Atlas uses that local tariff as a transparent planning example. It does not establish the price of a nationwide appointment.

For one site with known traditional units, the calculation adds attendance to the unit count and applies a 25% planning margin set in our configuration. The margin is an assumption; it is not measured variation in received quotations.
- Confirm the count of units needing a basic service.
- Ask whether attendance, consumables and the report are included.
- Keep travel, extended work, replacements and VAT visible.
What to do next: Send the same inventory to providers and request the total for the agreed work. For several sites, fire blankets, unknown types or non-routine maintenance, obtain an itemised quotation rather than relying on the basic example.
Formula and example
The anchor is £15 plus £7.50 multiplied by the unit count. Ten units give a £90 anchor and a £67 to £113 planning band, excluding VAT, after rounding outward to pounds. The 25% margin is editable and is not a supplier tariff.
Geographic limitation
RCR is based in Suffolk and publishes an extra travel charge beyond 50 miles. Travel is not calculated here. The linked PTS tariff provides a separately stated comparison with different visit and unit inclusions; confirm its VAT treatment.
When the number is withheld
Several sites, fire blankets, new provision, service-free units, unknown inventory, used or damaged units, changed hazards and extended work require a separate scope. The result shows bespoke pricing required and explains what providers need to quote.
Published prices are boundaries, not a market average
Vendor Atlas uses these provider sources only to constrain the deterministic planning model. Dates, regions, inclusions and equipment differ, so the result is not a market benchmark or a live quotation.

What is still missing: awarded quote data normalised to the same asset schedule, access conditions and deliverables. The calculator shows every adjustment so it can be replaced cleanly as that evidence arrives.
