Duty and technical sources
COSHH regulation 9 requires control measures to be maintained. Most LEV systems must be thoroughly examined and tested at least every 14 months, with shorter maximum intervals for specified processes.

Published price evidence
- Tim Prestage Ltd — Publishes approximately £200 plus VAT for one system with up to five extraction points.
- Impact Technical Services — Publishes a starting point of £250 for a smaller single-point system.

What a complete LEV examination follows
A TExT follows the contaminant from capture to discharge and tests whether the complete control chain still performs as intended.
